On Thursday, January 22, Jennifer Mullett, Laura Dove, and Jennifer Bradley will attend the Annual Divorce Practice Seminar sponsored by the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association.
The focus will be on same-sex marriages, with topics including how other states handled recent same-sex marriage issues, how divorce statutes will apply to same-sex marriages, issues impacting the children of same-sex marriages, inheritance rights and insurance and retirement benefits for same-sex couples, and the legislative implications of same-sex marriage and divorce in Virginia.
