On May 14, MDMB Partner Jennifer Bradley will be attending a family law continuing legal education seminar on Parental Alienation Syndrome in Custody Cases.
Joan Meier, Professor of Clinical Law at George Washington University Law School, and Founder and Legal Director of the Domestic Violence Legal Empowerment and Appeals Project will discuss uses and misuses of the concept of parental alienation in custody cases, as well as case law regarding the admissibility of parental alienation syndrome (PAS). She will propose an approach to use of alienation which minimizes the risk of its misuse to deny abuse.
